Voice lessons in Ballincollig and Douglas, Cork

I studied for my B.Mus in the Cork school of Music and trained under Cara O’Sullivan, Robert Craig, Mary Hegarty and Mary McSweeney. I was awarded an honours in vocal performance from CSM in 2010 and won the highest placed singer in the Senior Recital Competition that same year. I was extremely lucky to have Cara O’Sullivan as my voice coach when I was studying for my leaving cert – as well as teaching me technique and repertoire, she also taught me how to look after my voice which is something most teenagers are never taught to do. I know most people that read my blog are brides to be so I just want to share an Irish supplier with you all.  Check out Carol Shaw Jewellery for your bridal jewellery and for bridesmaids, mother of the bride and guests!

I “met” Carol a few years ago on IrishBusinesswomen.com and having seen some of her pieces on her website I asked her if she could make something unique for me that I could wear when singing at weddings. You can see what she designed on the video just below this post or on my Facebook page at SiobhanOliverSoprano I told Carol the type of thing I was looking for and wanted something with a music theme – she came up with a few ideas and ordered in some silver music note beads for me and teamed them up with black Swarovski Crystals. What’s great is nobody else has the same thing and it was so reasonably priced! My mum, aunt and friends have also bought from Carol and everyone has been delighted with the service, speed and quality that Carol provides. She’s a lovely lady and its great to support one of our own.
